How Do New Zoning Laws Affect You?

There's no question that California has faced a shortage of housing availability recently. In an effort to address this issue, the Governor recently signed two controversial senate bills, SB9 and SB10 into law, both of which are supposed to positively impace housing availability and affordability across the state. Here's more detail:

SB9: Intends to allow California homeowners to convert the homes into up to 4 units, depending on the size of their lot.

SB10: Intends to allow California property owners to build up to 10 multi-family units on land currently set aside for single-family homes.
